That's true also. My z06 spec is about $180k. That's 16k in luxury tax then gas gusseler tax. So, mine would be $20k on top of purchase price not including hst. Wowza!! Gotta pay to play I suppose.

I'm sorry to say this but I'm moving towards a Porsche. The wait for a 992 turbo or GT3 is about 16-20 months. The price is higher but so is the quality. If I can't get what I want within my budget then I'll move back to a C8, non Z06. The price for the Z06 just seems to be creeping upwards and the wait time along with it. I'm keeping my C7 though.

a brand new Porsche 911 base convertible with similar option to a Z06 2LZ HTC comes out to $169,210 + lux tax + sales tax

At the moment, you have to have a purchase history of 5 - 6 new Porsche sports cars to get a GT car allocation. The average Joe cannot order one. I've owned 3 new Porsches (plus 5 used that I have serviced at the same dealer) and cannot get a GT3 or GT4

At least 150 per cent more. 2021 here is $310,000.00. Turbo S which would be like getting. Z06 loaded at $160kI imagine? Porsche expensive to service. Taxes here in BC are crazy.

So we know 2020C8#49 got an allocation ( super jealous congrats) and Finch Chev also got 1 but I asked alot of Canadian C8 owners when I attended Carlisle and no one knew what dealers where getting these other 13 cars. I spoke to John Price and none of the eastern Ontario club members got an allocation! I hate the secrecy in the allocation process, you can be damn sure when I get an allocation I will let everyone know!

I just don't think the original 15 are receiving allocation because of GM's mistake? Lets hope they do get allocation.

I think it depends if you were guilty of it or not. If you weren't, and, let's say the car was sold by someone else after you sold it to them or something, then I have heard of people successfully making that point with GM. No idea what to do if you were actually guilty of exporting the car.

Sold to a dealer and they exported. I have provided my narrative to GM with documentation. Been almost 3 weeks now waiting for a status update.

I’m no lawyer but I have heard of 2 cases just like yours where GM reversed their decision. I hope you get the same result

no 1100 status order will be accepted until jan 2023 at the earliest so you still have some time to solve your situation. who is your dealer? are they advocating for you?
