Good Day!

I was just wondering what odd events people have participated in? Vehicle related, but it doesn't have to be Corvette related.
I friend of mine set up an event called the DeathTrap Derby. Basically it involves driving the cheapest pile of garbage you can find on a 600km round trip, with some events along the way, to see who survives.
Some of the additional events include:
- Tug of war
- Burn out competition
- Hill climb, and
- Race through a farmers field (permission has been granted to use the field).

Here is my rough running pile that I feel like I need a tetanus shot just looking at:

It's a 1993 half ton with a 350 that just developed a stumble and has a good vibration at 100 km/hr. I'm actually surprised at how nicely it drove and shifted when running right. I'll have to figure out the stumble at some point as I plan on pulling the motor and putting it into my 92 S-10 at some point in the next year. Plus it'll be a 500 km drive just to get to the event....so I'm hoping I don't have to take the bus home.... :D

Anyway, the one fun thing I've done is hooked up a windshield washer sprayer to soak the back tires for the burnout comp. Unfortunately it's only a one wheel peel machine. Does anyone have any hotrod tricks (outside of performing a Lincoln locker) to get both tires spinning on an open diff? If not, I'll have to spin the one tire twice as fast to make as much smoke as the posi guys. :D
It should be fun and I'll take some pictures. What events have other's done?

Better be photos of this event Riley or you are banned.

Bet the neighbours will be glad to see that beast gone even if it only for a day or two.:WillyNilly:

My big event is checking my pulse to make sure I am still here every morning.

I bet they will be glad. Heck, my wife will be glad too. But luckily it's come in handy a couple times for hauling stuff.

I'll make sure to post up some photos.

Who gets to sit in that comfy looking chair in the box?

That's the drivers seat. Just got to lengthen the controls. :D
It was just a chair I was picking up for the wife.

Lmao !! Great thread Riley. Lol. Oddest event? Seeing people see me park this and get in the Corvette,or vice versa.

3M? 346,920 kms ( maybe more, odometer numbers dont always turn )and looking...... Just looking i guess.

That rust will polish right out. :D
It's really relaxing to have a vehicle where I don't care who parks beside me. I don't care if the road is rough, I don't care about pot holes. But then, it nice to get out of the Corvette and drive this thing. :p

What? No locking wheel nuts ... tires are needed and the only things that might get stolen!
Nothing crazy/odd from me ... well ... at least from what I can remember ... :angelic: ... ;)
