Did you upgrade the heads as well or leave the stock LS1 heads in? What hp level is expected with this setup?
Looks like I'm going to be the only 1 without a new cam at this years gtg.....

I just have the stock heads right now, had to save some money for new tires and clutch most likely due this summer.
I will be putting on heads hopefully for next spring so the Hp should really start to pickup with a set of AFR or even
Trickflow heads, still not decided what to get yet, maybe even Patriot? Dont know the true Hp numbers without a
tune on the dyno.


I picked up the car from Manny today sounds amazing.

Had it out for a drive this afternoon and the power is noticeable, the stop idle is great that lump, Lump sounds and
feels fantastic in the car. The fiancee was behind me in her car and said she could hear it inside her car with the
windows closed and stereo on! Ah, I just love the sound of the new cam!

Chuck should be able to tune her a bit in May to optimize the tune, put me in Manny for a road or dyno tune.

Manny, change your name to Barry McGuire as in "Car Crazy" only in your cast it's "CAM CRAZY".

I am just not there yet. Feels as though the Surfer has more than enough power for me. Don't need the jitter or the itch just yet as I am still getting myself above water with work and all. Always gotta pay the bills first and keep the lights on.

Nice, post up some video when its done so we can hear it.
What cam did you go with mine was same as the Vengence VRX3.

The car is just great after a tune, world of difference.
Does not sound to rough or lumpy at idle, you can tell it has a cam if your
car knowledgable but other then that I think its almost a sleeper cam.
That is until you give it some gas or go WOT, amazing.
Cannot wait for a set of heads to make things flow a bit better
