I don't care for spoilers so this one to me is not an improvement.

So I guess this gives you an allergic reaction?!

I agree with you about the new spoiler. Not a low spoiler, not a high wing. Just a bit confused looking.

I think the original Z51 spoiler was a tasteful touch.

Not as stylin as this one though….. you have to wonder about the old eye of the beholder, lol.

Ya . There should be a law……regarding the GT3RS , how fast does the vehicle have to be travelling to generate a ton of downforce? Wicked for sure.
God only know. Fast!!

What's impressive is that it only has 518 horsepower, but the corner speeds it can maintain because of the aero edges it out past cars that have a 100hp+ advantage. (like the Z06)

With a base price of $267,000 it bloody well should, lol. Plus another $54,000 in luxury tax you are well into Ferrari territory.

Spoilers do what spoilers do, they spoil things.

Regarding 992 GT3 RS, the rear wing alone doesn't generate all of that downforce, it's the entire car. Front splitter, rear wing, underbody, diffuser, canards, etc.

It's rated to make 1900 lb of downforce at 285 kph, or about 900 lb at 200 kph.

I don't like the new one. It literally looks like the High Wing Spoiler but they chopped off 90% of the stanchions. It should be called Low wing Spoiler.

Maybe GM is cost cutting so they can just reuse the same spoiler design and just put short stanchions or tall stanchions on the car.

Or they knew the high wing design was better and have now decided to adopt it because it looked tacky to force on a Z51 car in high wing form but by removing most of the 4 post stanchions it looks better.

Correct, the SR high wing also has more aggressive end plates. The new Z51 has softer rounded plates as previously shown. I have the optional dealer installed high wing on my Arctic White SR coupe and it looks awesome!

You're lucky not to live in Quebec. We ALSO have luxury tax to pay over the federal one on our license plates every year until the car is 7 years old or below $40k value. That is over the large engine surcharge when you buy the car and also when you plate it on subsequent years . My 2025 will cost me near $1000 to plate it this year.
Frustrating when I know Ontario have FREE plates and have much nicer roads.
