New Old Rims

I had my " sawblade"rims refinished by Carcones (Aurora, 1-800-263-2022). They were pretty beat up, now look like new.
Cost was about $140 per rim, includes, pick up, refinish including check for true and repair as needed, return delivery.

Today I found someone to remove clear coat and polish the rims, have to wait for 2 weeks guy who does it is on his honeymoon.

Dropped off rims to have them refinished should be done in two weeks. I will post a picture when I get them back.

Well not good news, called about rims today the guy got back to me and said, they can`t strip off the clear coat. the company that supplies the stripper said they changed the formula and it is not strong enough ( for environmental issues ).
