1976
hello folks i am new to the forum and thought i would intro myself. doug is my name and i have a 76 survivor/driver that i picked up about a year ago. i am restoring the car as i drive it and enjoying it immensely. it feels so great to get back to the hobby after a 30 year absence, this is my first corvette. cruise nights are a lot of fun. back in the day we didn't have em,it was layin down smoke screens at harveys.

Welcome Doug, glad to have you along. The smoke screens at Harvey's brings back some memories for sure......seems we might be in about the same age bracket.

Kudos for saving the '76 -- hope to see it some time. A lot of us here are on our first 'vette so you're not alone.

Cheers,
Colin.

Welcome! :canada: lots of nice guys here....:agree: Even some in Ontario...

thanks for the warm welcome guys!! keith,i'm not sure buckhorn will have cruise night next year. the turnout was usually low and local political involvment put off some folks. i go to bridgenorth on monday nights always a good gang and lots of fun. i enjoy the forums and feel that the sharing of information they provide is crucial to making our hobby successful. thanks, doug.

Welcome to the forum Doug. Some great folks on here; some I've even had the pleasure of meeting in person! Great to see another C3'er on here too. I just picked up my '75 back in June and learning as I go as well. Wife and I also had lots of fun at the cruise nights and shows this past summer. Post up some pictures when you get a chance.

Greg.

Buckhorn Cruise Night

Even tho the Buckhorn Cruise is small, we enjoy it. Once in a while I'd add something to the door prize table just to help a little. Now, that's something that more of us should do more often, especially at the smaller cruises. Decent door prizes, which might seem trivial to some, but do attract people. The smaller out of town cruises are suffering from lower attendance. It is either the cost of gas or too many cruises. I know we can pick and choose between several every night of the week and not too many people are going to a cruise every night of the week. We did just that a few years ago during holidays, going to a different cruise for a week, just to say that we had done it. We'll have to meet up at Bridgenorth in the spring. 150-200 is normal there.....unless it rains. Silver 2005 Corvette. Be there. It's only five months away. :driving:
