1997 Coupe
Hello everyone! I've been trying to join the corvette communities as possible to share in others' experiences and ideas etc.

I bought a wreck 3 years ago ('97 Coupe), friend of mine had been looking for an appropriate base to put a 600-650hp motor in daily driver. Over the next year and a half we got it straightened out (mostly) and put in a new motor:

LQ9 iron block bored to 4.060, stroked to 4.125 (427 cu)
forged internals 10:1 compression
ported LS1 heads
P1SC1 procharger (5 lbs boost), dual intercoolers
202/220 .497 lift 116 lsa cam
Tuning was an issue (on the street)... they finally got it close but was rich.

The new power broke my 4L60E (3/4 clutch pak) so I had it rebuilt locally

Drove for a couple months and decided to get it dyno'd in Calgary... convinced myself to max out the p1 procharger over winter, so:

102mm FAST intake, throttle body, 100mm MAF, fuel rails, 80lb injectors
3" exhaust/long tube headers from LG
new pulleys, overdrive balancer
Aeromotive 340 lph pump, msd voltage booster and racetronic wiring
Snow methanol injection
Z06 suspension swapped in
6 point rollbar, 5 point harness
Racelogix traction control
19x11 rear wheels w/ 305/30/19 RE-11s ('til I get slicks for the track)

Got my competition racing license this spring...

Broke the tranny on the dyno so ordered Lvl5 raptor internals from PATC

And this is where we sit currently.

I'm hoping/should to see around 700rwhp/700rwtq on a mustang dyno through the automatic (in the next couple weeks)... 14 lbs boost, pump gas, methanol injection (not sure how much timing we'll get)

I'm looking at putting 3.42 or at least 3.15 gears in when the tranny gets installed this week.

I miss my baby. Wish me luck!

Welcome aboard! Keep that 'Vette out of the hail and thundershowers--and even tornadoes in your area.

Your nametag leads my to believe you're a physician. Always great to have one of those in our group...........:D

I used to go to Regina a lot in my previous job. Great hot summers and lots of miles of highway to run that car!!!

Sounds like you have built one nasty ride :D

welcome to the forum :canada:
