New 85 in Hamilton Ontario

ok
So what if I go over my mileage I specify. My quote is $245 for $10000 car at 1000 km. garage kept and clean licence

If it's anything like my insurance (Traders Aviva) you just phone them to explain that you're going over your estimated mileage (before you actually go over) and they adjust your policy and maybe your premium is they feel it's necessary.

I asked that very question last year and that was their response. If I was to go beyond my estimated mileage on a long trip they need to know beforehand.

At renewal time they will up my mileage estimate to fall in line with actual prior mileage or your new estimate.

YMMV -- best call them.

Just bump up your mileage now, say 4000, or so. I and willing to bet there will be no increase in the premium. As for going over, it's a guide line. No big deal. But like CCO said , better to let them know.

Be honest with your insurance provider. Maybe this type of policy is not for you. But like the suggestions above tell them what you think you will put on the car and have your insurance based on that.

1000 kms is not a whole lot of mileage. Thats only one burn out in the drive way.

Reading over on the Ontario Rodders forum about some serious issues with Hagerty/Lant Insurance denying claims. A number of people who thought they were covered got quite a shock.

Maybe worth a read.
