1986 black Corvette convertible update..
I was contacted by the owner’s son yesterday..
The Corvette sold for $15K.....
There was apparently some mouse damage to a bit of the interior as well.
I sent a couple of collectors and friends to look at the car, and a couple of CCF members even contacted the owner.
It was bought by a local individual....I do not know the person.
I hope to see it in a collection or at local shows in the future.
But who knows..maybe they will restore it and send it to an auction in the US.

Take care kids
Graham

I appreciate the closure on this "story". Endorses why our fleet should not be garage princesses. Why preserve it (kinda-sorta) for the next owner ... I was watching Barrett Jackson Vegas 2017 with similar driven Corvettes seemingly not fetching anything significant as well. Darn weather .... I'd rather be driving right now ... Thank you for the update Graham

Wow... I would have thought more.... He paid probably close to 30k for the car in 1986... At 15k with another 10k to make it right, someone can drive a new Corvette for less than 1986 dollars... I think will some advertising, they could have done much better at auction..... Thanks for the update Graham.
