I have been looking around for a reasonable price for one of the bolt on pin type . Looked at Paragon and they have it for $285 but when I got to shipping they are quoting $87 which seems very high considering the size and weight of the part . That is until I checked Boost District , lol. Then I looked at the calendar just to verify that it wasn't April 1st , lol. Has anyone installed one and if so where did you purchase it and at what cost . Thanks.

So is physical ability and desire to tear my trunk apart at the side of the road to stick some piece of steel up it's ass.
I have no issues with the physical ability aspect and with one of these it wouldn't take but 3 minutes. And easily fit in the glove box.

Every battery will croak some day or some other gremlin shows up and your in a bit of a pickle. No matter your preferred method it's a good idea to be prepared and hopefully you never need the solution.

I have my emergency kit which includes anount other things a tow hook, T15 to temove the cover and a ratcheting wrench to put the dct into neutral.
I bought mine from Boost District last year for my SR and now it is in my Z. I had it shipped to a freight forwarding company in Niagara Falls NY. Was $87 includes brokerage and taxes or just shipping only?

It takes no time to remove the trunk cover with a hand tool. You have time to kill while waiting for your tow anyway.

Btw, you just need to remove the trunk panel to install the red bracket.

I'm not worried about the side of the road. It's in the garage that's the issue if you back in. On the side of the road a tow truck can put dollies under the rear wheels. Just tell them to bring a jack if they don't have one. I bet most do.

I don't think any Canadian tow truck driver will put dollies under your rear wheels to pull it up onto a flatbed at roadside, depending on the road surface it's sitting on. They'll use tire skates for expedience and safety. They'll drag it up on skates. Then drag it off at the dealership/shop.
When you call them, tell them to bring "dollies and a jack". Click, dial tone.......
If you want to roll it out of your garage in N, that's your choice. Still got to get it on the flatbed somehow.
Or push it to the dealership/shop.

Are skates different than dollies?

From everything I have seen and read you do not want to tow or drag the car at all with the parking pawl engaged . In other words when the transmission is in park . Might be ok for a very short distance but is it worth the risk? But of course to each their own......

The 305 will create plenty of resistance. Lol..

Rear tires. Hate to let anyone except factory to jack/lift my car.
Especially one corner at a time. That just me.
Ya, good point! I had forgotten that. Though I believe the car is so rigid that if you lift one side the whole rear raises.

Here is another option with link from that " other " forum. Quite pricey though. Think I will go with tye red bolt on one with the spring pin .
