Hi All. Would it be cheaper to purchase a remanufactured transmission, rather than getting mine rebuilt. Ever since I went to 342 rear gears from 273,s, its slipping in 4th, but only intermittingly.

I'd take it to a tranny shop and get their opinion. Might be as simple as a valve replacement.

I have taken it to two reputable shops, and they both said it needs a rebuild. Bu toot happens so irregularly, a couple of good freinds of mine had the same problem, and it was a bad ground in the computer. Who knows?
