Hello,
I was encouraged to post an introduction, so here goes.
It has been a long road to becoming a first time Corvette owner. I really appreciate this forum. So far it saved me from purchasing the wrong model Quickjack, and it has given me guidance regarding good PPF/ceramic places.
My wife and I bought our first house 28 years ago, a year and a bit after we got married. A few months into being a homeowner, my wife says "We need living room furniture and dining room furniture." I responded with "Don't worry, we'll save money and buy it soon." She said "We need living room furniture and dining room furniture, and you have a Porsche that sits in the garage 8 months of the year. You should sell it so that we can buy furniture." I responded "I bought my Porsche before we got married. It's a pre-marrital aquisition. It's mine." She responded with "We need living room furniture and dining room furniture, and you have a Porsche that sits in the garage 8 month out of the year. You should sell it so that we can buy furniture." So, I sold my beloved Porsche and lost part of my male anatomy along with part of my soul. At one point, I owned a new 2001 Mustang GT convertible, with a baby seat in the back. It was a compromise, but I had to get rid of it when our second baby was born because a baby seat could not fit in the back seat, behind my driver's seat.
I have always been a Corvette fan, but there were always higher priorities. As I think back over the years, every time a new model came out, I always thought "Wow, that looks awesome, so much better then the previous gen."
Fast forward 22 years.
Finally, a couple weeks ago, I decided to reclaim my missing genetalia. I purchased a '26 Stingray HTC, and the missing part of my soul has returned. I am now whole again.
Although I am still in the break-in phase, I am astonished with how comfortable and precise the car feels. I love it.
Best regards,
Moose
