Missing something with this ad?????

No problem Garry if you want to ride along that would be great.

Good luck with the fractions and temper. Kids.:Banghead:

On the plus side I am proud of my son, whenever he does lose his temper he will come to tell me later that he is sorry and that he appreciates that I try to help him with his schoolwork..............

It will be a interesting call. The other car I've been tempted by is a (forgive me) 2009 370Z, stock with only 12,000 km on it. And yes it is the correct shade of yellow. But 332 hp vs 1000...............sort of not much for a comparison.

I thought it odd too that the C5 doesn't have listed methanol injection.......................I almost thought it was common for higher hp cars.

Cheers,

Garry

The owner said he be willing to bring the car to Manny but as he lives an hour away he'd want $200 for time and gas..............probably not unreasonable and it prevents every "test pilot" from asking him to bring the car all over the place to be checked out by their "expert"!

And on a previous line of thinking, on the Holley website, 66 lb/hr injectors would be good for engines producing 1050 hp, so maybe the 60 lb/hr injectors in this car are at the ragged end for the 1000 hp the owner is claiming........it seemed low at first but maybe they would be OK.

Odd too, there do not seem to be any yellow paint codes for 1998 or 1999 Corvettes. I wonder if it has been repainted??

Indeed the owner now told me that the previous owner who worked for an autobody place had it painted this colour, it was originally silver......................

And it does have methanol injection too - the owner said he didn't want to state that in the add which I thought funny since it indicates to me a quality build....................

Hmmmmm. Seems like thinks are lining up for a new 1000 hp stable mate! :D

As for the shade of yellow, I would have to say that variety is the spice of life. :D
Also, if you had a secon 1000 hp vette, even if one was down due to a tire, you'd have a second one to bring to Ponoka!

$200 seems fair for having the car inspected and would let the guy know you're serious.
