My brother Terry came thru with one sample. No "supply" -- just a taste. I didn't forget ya......

A friend and his father boil syrup as a little side line and their production this year made up for the short season last year. I saw some in a store and I think it was $22 a litre. We always have some around.

I think the cheapest place I have found for Maple Syrup is Costo. I think they are still selling it at $12 per liter. However, the maple syrup from the tin can is the best!

Couldn't believe it was in our local IGA today in the tin cans as above pics. Marked as 1/2 price........9.99 a tin.

in my pre diabetic days i used to love the stuff on vanilla ice cream. around buckhorn when i was a kid some folks used to boil down sap over an open fire in a big cast iron kettle. they would steam potatoes over the kettle....were they ever good.
