Couple questions. Is it possible to swap ZR-1 carbon ceramic rotors onto a Z06 with out having modify or replace suspension link! And is it possible to replace a no navi radio with a navi style radio? Is it a matter of swap in swap out or is it a differnt connector or pins removed?
 
i have a radio with nav. i think there may be a slight difference because of the sta./nav antenna, but i'm not sure. i am replacing my radio for a pioneer deck as the speakers were already replaced with focals and the stereo gurus tell me that bose systems do not mix well with aftermarket stuff because of they way they design their bose system. by the way, i oppted out of the nav because it's cheaper to just use a portable and i found out pioneer is making their systems iphone compatible. so much so that there is an app for it and i can display my iphone info on the dvd screen in my new deck.
 
like i understand that navigation may not work but i dont want navi for navi i want it cause i like the look better. so will the radio hook up and function. and why wont the brakes fit, if its just cause the rims wont clear the caliper, i understand that it will fit ZR-1 rims.
 
The nav deck will not fit the opening for one ,
two, the electrionics are not compatable . Amp speakers and so forth .

The carbon ceramic's will not work for a number of reason's :

1, The rotors are to large to fit your wheel's or most wheels for that matter .
2, The Zr1 wheels will clear but stick out a mile past your fenders , you would need fender flares on all four corners to fit that much rubber due in part to the off set .

Add up the cost for flared fenders + prep and paint and the brake's , you would be in over 10G's

Can you tell me what you are looking to gain , I can certainly find a more cost effect way to get you into a bigger braking system .
 
Well I like factory stuff Ie ZR-1 brakes and rotors and I would like to have the performance assosiated. And the navi deck just cause at Audi were I work all our cars have a deck like that and I really like the style. Feels more modern?
 
Also wont Z06 centennial edition wheels fit ZR-1 calipers cause they show the combination as a possibility? But are centials bigger and come with already flared fenders?

I like the aftermarket decks , but thats my preferrence .

Not a chance on a C5 , on a C6 sure , but again you would need the flairs . At any rate you would still be better of with say a Stoptech or Brembo setup VS the ZR1 . The performance from these would still be 100X better than factory .

Lol woa two page post if I had be clearer could have Been two posts long lol. So for the brakes is it just a matter of bolt on new calipers and rotors? Or. And the radio is it just a pull out install new?,
 
Yes , brakes are a bolt on cnd radio is pretty much plug and play .

I would be happy to help you out .
