Hi everyone,

I’m new here and I could really use some help/advice. Recently I purchased a 2025 Stingray 1LT, and I’m trying to figure out what the ongoing maintenance costs will be once my complimentary 2 oil changes and 1 DCT service are used up.

I’ve gotten very mixed pricing from different dealerships. Some service departments couldn’t even give me a straight answer on cost.
  • Does anyone know of dealerships near the GTA that are especially reasonable/competitive for Stingray/Corvette maintenance? If you have real pricing examples I would really appreciate them.
  • Also, has anyone purchased a maintenance package in advance? What did that cover, how long did it last, and how much did it cost?
I’m a younger gentleman and a big car enthusiast — I try to do my homework and avoid overpaying where it isn’t necessary. Thanks in advance to everyone for any insight you can share!

Hi and welcome to the forum ! A lot of owners purchase a maintenance plan if it’s in the budget given the high cost of some of the requirements for warranty at specific intervals The transmission service for example currently runs about $1200.00 for example. Your best bet is to send a PM ( small envelope icon top right) to @Mr.Corvette our Corvette Concierge . He can let you know what is available and give you the pricing which will be as good or better than any you will find just by calling a dealership. He may well see this and contact you as he is very active on the forum . If you were to look at the total cost of maintenance requirements over the duration of the contract you will see that it is actually a very good deal. I bought one for mine and was very pleased with the cost compared to a quote given by my dealer.

HI Jacob, congrats on the purchase of your 2025 Stingray and welcome to the forum! Let's start with the good news as it sounds like your already panicking about how much this car is going to cost you to maintain. I started buying Corvettes in my 20's and back then there wasn't nearly the technology in them compared to what you have in your car today. Do you have a copy of the 2025 Corvette maintenance schedule?
I have attached one as it appears the schedule chart doesn't appear in the 2025 owners manual.
You have the ability to go up to 3 years to get your oil changes and your first DCT oil filter done for free. At that point we could look at getting you a maintenance plan to cover the items you will need to have done from the chart below.
Dealers all use book time for labour and have fairly standard charges. I'm not sure what area of the GTA your in, but I have referred members to dealers that I know will take care of you. Oil changes are in the $250-$350 range, DCT filter changes are in the $900 area, and the transmission fluid change that you need done at 72,000 km OR 3 Years whichever comes first as stated above is in the $1200 range not including the DCT filter.
For now, just drive your car. Get back to us if you have questions but read the attachments that I have sent and when you want an extended warranty and maintenance plan that will cover all of these items get back to us and we will send you the brochures and get you a quote in time for your third oil change or your first transmission fluid change at the 3 year mark from one of our sponsors who sells GMPP plans.
Having the maintenance plan will save you a lot of money when your free services are used up.
Scott

I’m blown away by your support! What a breath of fresh air haha!

Will the prices of purchasing the maintenance plan or extended warranty at the 2.9 year mark make a difference compared to when purchasing them now?

My guess is it would be $300-$400 less to buy it now compared to later on the maintenance and maybe a bit more of a savings on the extended warranty depending on which term you select.

Welcome to the forum from a new C8 owner myself.
The first order of business is to sign up for Spring Mountain Corvette Owners School assuming you bought the car new.

Thank you, I will opt out for the packages at this time as per your recomendation and set a reminder to prior to the 3 year mark.
I may well be mistaken, again lol , but I think he is saying that you would save money by buying them now. Even if you buy them now they don’t kick in until the 3 year factory coverage expires. If it’s in the budget of course…….
