Hi guys,

I purchased a 2012 C6 Auto in November (24,000KM!).

Looking to find a good local resource around Langley, BC. Maybe someone familiar with LS engines in general, who could offer tuning, exhaust, basic troubleshooting ideas. I want to get the transmission tuned a bit, maybe install headers but want to get something that works with my current exhaust. It came with an unknown Borla exhaust. I'm thinking it's the touring, because it's pretty mild.

Also, if anyone can help or offer suggestions with any of the following, that would be great :)

1) Small rough idle when coming to a stop (very low speed), as well as when stopped in D at a light. RPM doesn't seem to change, but it's just not super smooth. This may be normal, as I haven't had a car with this large of a motor before :)
2) Buzz/Rattle passenger side B pillar. Seems to come from around the seat belt area. If I get my wife to compress the area while the buzz is happening, it quiets down.
3) Feels uneasy when cranking the wheel at low speed. Heard a little belt squeak when trying to reverse with the wheel cranked 100%. Is this just due to the width and toe of the tires?

It even looks like a car with 24,000km; nice! Thanks for sharing the photos and good luck with your "fine tuning".

And if not already done that you know of, consider flushing the rad since antifreeze becomes acidic after 7 or 8+ years, regardless of the miles on the vehicle. Sorry for saying the obvious if you know this already, but I learned the hard way on a 10 year old 7-series I had many years ago and don't want to see it happen to anyone else.

I went to look at the car just to see what it looked like, when I saw how well fitted the panels were, how well taken care of the exterior and interior was, and how little mileage was on it... I had to buy it :) Very impressed with the condition.

I had the car serviced after I bought it, and before storing it for the last few months.. I did mention that to the dealer, but can't remember if they decided to change it or not.. Thanks for reminding me to double check on that.

Learned a good lesson myself about how poor some dealerships can be. Part of the reason I wanted to find a good local expert :)

Thank you!

Hey @tubingchamp ..
welcome to CCF and Corvetting in-general.
what a great looking ride you have there.
I too live in Langley .
I’m not sure who is a good LS tuner in the area but I could ask a few other neighbourhood Corvette owners.
PM me via this forum if you have any other questions.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for your reply! Glad to see there is some sort of Corvette community in Langley! Hopefully once it's safe to meet up, we can do so :).

Appreciate the help.

Hey Vineet,

Yep, still no bites! I want to get a transmission tune at some point. It's no major rush, but would be nice to know that there is an expert around somewhere.

I did take my car to Preston for service, and they seemed pretty good, but not perfect. Still just a dealership. All the little issues I took to them are back. Was nothing major, just some squeaks, rattles and the semi-rough idle.

Anyways, I'm sure we will find a good shop some time :).

Hi boys..
A tranny tune can probably be handled in Langley by A&B TRANSMISSIONS. Gord is the owner.
A shop to do a check over and Spring set-up is CLASSIC & PERFORMANCE CARS Ltd in Delta near River Road. Gary there may also be able to handle an LS Tune. They are Corvette specialists.
C&P Cars can be reached @ 604-940-9633. That is where I take my cars if it is a job I can’t handle myself.

It’s hard to find a good reliable mechanic unfortunately. 😳
