Who else but, Dasilva Motorsports would come out to the shop on a Saturday @ 8:00pm to take in a car :D

I , and all our staff just love having all these great cars to be around everyday .

This fantastic 1969 Corvette , has just been rescued from another shop where the owner was quoted $3000 for some electrical work and a few interior parts ...........then was given a bill for $10,500.00 without ever being informed

Just to add insult to injury the car went in running and now does not run  ........I know I would be pretty PEO"d

No worries the Dasilva Motorsports crew will bring this 1969 black classic back to life :canada:

We love C3's at Dasilva Motorsports :canada:

Wow...I just can't imagine how I would feel if a shop was screwing me around like this....Sure hope things turn-around for this 69 C3 owner. Those are one of my favorite examples of the third generation. I'm sure he will be in good hands now.

That sort of business practice really pi$$ es me off!! That is why I'm a firm believer in Manny and his crew. You won't get jerked around.
I feel bad for the owner of this C3, but he's in good hands now. Keep us posted on this project. Great job Manny.

Do your research long before you have problems. I was looking for someone to do a proper restoration on the original 4346 Holleys for our L78 and 427 engines. I watched the Yenko.net web site for a couple of years. Eric Jackson rose to the top as a carb restorer who, like Manny's shop, you just never hear anything bad about and everyone raves about his work. I've since had several of these carbs restored and they look absolutely factory fresh. There are local carb restorers here in Canada but I heard mixed reviews so I moved on. No point in looking for trouble. You think you might be getting jobs done cheaper than Manny's shop.....until you run into a situation like this C3 owner. Inexpensive quickly turns into cheap....and expensive at the same time. Estimates are not worth the paper they are written on and I believe there are limitations on quotes as well. Best to just go with a good guy in the first place. It pays to be pro active and do your homework. It pays dividends in the end.

When I was looking for someone to have the Headers installed in my car I spoke to numerous persons and I was getting so may stories with very little commitments to a finished job. I was told that the price could climb depending if they run into any complications.

I finally spoke to Manny and not only did he take the time to suggest various products but also suggested on how to save money. When I got the car to Manny's shop I was going to have the rear end changed along with the headers but Manny checked the car before they started doing any work and he realized that the car had the upgraded gears from the factory and recommended that I not make the changes to the rear end which saved me money.

Of course the work from his team was fantastic, and I couldn't think of another shop I would want to bring my car to get fixed and serviced.

I can't say enough great comments about Manny and his team!

Good God, I hope he told them where they could put the $10,500 bill before he told them where to go.

Good thing he ended up here and at your place Manny. Who knows what else they could have pulled.

Great lookin' car btw -- you do get some nice vehicles in there. I can see I'll have to bring my cam again soon.

You have too much fun Manny..........(and we're all so glad that you like having fun) :canada:

Manny on behalf of Sandy my very best friend of many years (this Vettes owner), I just want to say Thank you for taking time out of your Saturday evening to receive this car from the bad shop rescue operation

It has been a nightmare for Sandy dealing with incompetence and being sold a bad bill of goods consistently. Being taking advantage off etc. and not going over an initial estimate with no authorization.

This past Saturday was the clincher when the shop called Sandy and said that they are towing the car out of the shop. The reason was they couldn't figure it out and wanted space back. Sandy caught by surprise with this call and I am sure glad I was there to help him out with the rescue.

As Manny stated the car was running and driven to this shop to get the cracked manifold replaced of which this shop said was required. When we arrived Saturday to get the car on a flat bed and over to Manny the car was not running and now leaking fuel out of the new gas tank. Go figure...

I know the car is in a great place as Manny has taken amazing care of my C5 vert. Sandy is relieved and trying to get his excitement of owning a C3 back.

I chatted with Manny about this car's situation before his vacation after learning about the unfair treatment. I honestly didn't expect it to be as adventurous as this. Thought it would have been more diplomatic.

I am so p@$@!d off that there is not one but a few places that take advantage of a guy like this. Sandy seemed to have found them.

Thanks again Manny I know you will get it right

Guys , thanks for the kind words , we really do appreciate it .

Sandy can be certain that his C3 will again live and bring him joy , that is not just a promise , but my word :canada:

Nice C3. Sad to hear that he got s#$@%. I can't beleive still treat customers that way in this time. especially with the economy the way it is. I am sure Manny and his crew will have do a great job.

Just so Sandy doesn't think he's getting screwed around with, if he signs up and is having troubles with posting, etc, let me know as sometimes the email confirmation doesn't go through so I have to change things manually to get people up and running.
