So I'll post a couple of threads under this title to separate out the picture themes a little bit.
Count has not been completed but John Price guesstimated over 500 Corvettes in the Friday evening city hall gathering. Aside from Bowling Green I haven't seen so many Vettes together in one place.
Met up with 1BAD9T9 (Windsor) and THE BOSS (St. Bruno).
Although it was a tad cool in the evening and a bit blustery Mother Nature held off on the rain so a great time overall.
Z06 was shown for the first time in Canada. John Price has the connections to make things happen. Nice presentation by GM. Ron Fellows was there as well but got whisked away as he was trying to be in two places at once. The other being the F1 in Montreal. Interesting overview of the styling process thru several years to conceptualize and bring the C8 to production status.
The invasion had things well laid out to keep us busy with tours, cruises, presentations, THE GATHERING (Friday evening), dinner dance and sadly a farewell breakfast on Sunday. Kudos to John, Heather and I am sure a great entourage of people within EOC that helped him make this possible.
I believe the following is correct but if anyone else was there from NL or further west let us know
FURTHEST EAST - NOVA SCOTIA
FURTHEST WEST - KELONA BC
FURTHEST SOUTH - FLORIDA

So this set will be the various "corals" of the Marriot parking, THE GATHERING and St' Laurance college parking. The first one is just to prove I was there :)

This one will be pics of the various cars in attendance.
Note the C8R. Gary put a lot of work in to this to get it looking as close as possible to the "real" C8R. Even some body work on the side scoops to bring them lower. Still a 5 lug wheel but the center caps were milled to look like the single lug race car. Gas cap as well. If nothing else, We Love Our Corvettes!
The Jag showed up in the hotel parking lot. Had to include it. Beautiful car.
The Streetrod was at the college. Corvette engine. ECM was re-programmed for it. Has GPS and AC.

WoW !!!
saw the pics and no one under the age of 60 allowed.
The lower the age group the less likely they'll be there quite simply because they are working. Sat with one guy and his wife from Bowmanville who is 34.
The higher you go in age then you get in to people/couples who have companies that can function without them being there 24/7
Always good to see the younger crowd there.

And one last pic I just gleaned from the EOC site. An overview of City hall. Proud to say my car is in there.

Sorry i made fun of this picture earlier. Thanks especially to John and Heather for putting such a great event together. Memories and an unusual picture of a fabulous show.
