Just did some maths.
MSRP: $72,815
Cash Credit: $7,000
Canadian Forces: $1,000
Student Bonus: $750
Cruze Lease Loyalty: $1,500
Referral Bonus: $750
If you include all of these discounts, it brings the price down to $61,815
Invoice on this car is about $66,800, so that's a spread of $6,000.
Remove gross from the car (what a GM Employee gets) and you're down to $55,800.
So, I feel it's pretty save to say these guys are being super sketchy by advertising their vehicles with all discounts, most of which you are not eligible for.
As for GM Employee, some dealerships do offer this to everyone, but it's very much against the rules. They can lose a lot by doing so. I have heard of some being fined over $500,000 from false Employee deals. It has no effect on the buyer, except it sets them up for shitty deals when they come to buy their next GM product.
Including all possible discounts in advertising... In Ontario, this is very illegal. I don't know what the laws are in Alberta.
