You are safe as of the date of that order number. We have all gone through the same. I will even tell you that your invoice, when the car is received, will be that current price and not the one you have; don't worry. If you're dealer tries to up the price (which he can by the way) by reason of price increase, you can explain price protection to him and ask him to politely speak to the District Manager. I say this become there have been odd circumstances. I know of one where the salesman never knew and tried to get current price. I think dealerships do this just to make as much as they can. Having said all of that, a dealership has the right to sell the car at any price they want once it is received. They are totally independent of GM and GM will never jump in when it comes to financial matters.
