It depends if it has been tuned already or not.

Assuming it has never been tuned, you're not going to get a huge boost, but you will still get some results. Having the same engine as you, and recently getting a tune myself, I would say you could probably squeeze another 15 (give or take 5) more horsepower out of the car.

A tune will make a much bigger difference when you put on mods--so go get 'em!!

Cams, exhaust, superchargers, intakes (although many including myself disagree on intakes), and more will gain much better performance with a subsequent tune.

You could also achieve better mileage as well.

The thing about tunes is that you will need a new one as soon as another performance mod gets done--minus the intake. My advice is to hold off until you get the mods done so you don't go about doiong it twice.

Sounds about right Vince -- I was going to say 10-15 rwhp with just a tune.
Headers and intake you're looking at about 30 - That's when it starts to wake up noticeably.

I wouldn't bother with a tune on a (assuming) stock 6 speed. Maybe with an automatic, but not with a manual. If you get an intake, headers or both, then yeah.

Right on the money Rob .

Doing a tune on a stock engine is a waste of money . The gains are at best 10 RWHP .You can get 30+ just a Vararam for the less than what a tune costs.

A guy was trying to tell me that a stock '95 LT1 Camaro he knew was putting out over 425 hp after a tune. Do people ever think about what they are saying? Most of us didn't just leave the farm yesterday. ;) Certainly, the company keeps the tune a little conservative for those who insist on using the low octane gas but I couldn't imagine them leaving a whole lot on the table, certainly no 100+ hp.
