Awesome video!! A Gibson Firebird played through Marshaill amps. Wonderfull sound. You don't hear musicianship like that too often these days. There are some great videos from many different BBC sessions over the years.
the very first johnny winter show i went to was in toronto in 1969. the last show i saw was in peterborough in 2010. he was quite frail and remained seated throughout the performance and needed assistance on and off stage. his playing and voice was unaffected and the show was fantastic. he used a much lighter guitar than his old firebird but it was brought to him for a couple of numbers. he graciously signed my 1977 muddy waters album that he had played on and produced. a great texas bluesman.
incredible version of a bb king classic. bass player tommy shannon spent 10 years with johnny winter and then 10 years with stevie ray vaughn. stevie ray was a huge johnny winter fan and heavily influenced by him. :coolgleam:
