Found 62 C8`s for sale on Autotrader in Canada. That`s a start.
Start counting. 62 allocations given in Canada already.
Here`s the rub. Get yourself a 2021 allocation, put your 2020 up for sale , make a profit and buy your 2021.
Only trouble is ,everybody else is thinking the same thing. Bubble time.

I also noticed quite a few for sale thru dealers and private parties. with the majority of reviews being excellent and after waiting for so long to get them ,I wonder why so many are for sale and owners are not keeping them. Any c8 owners want to chime in?

I don’t care if they are selling for a profit. Good for them. As a c7 owner who is Thinking of purchasing a new c8 convertible I would like to know if there are other reasons. Does anybody miss their c7?

No clue, absolutely love this car. It’s my first Corvette, first Chev, first American car.......stopped my Porsche order when the C8 was introduce. Later, I was aware I could flip it for a huge profit but never considered it. Maybe these sellers just wanted to be part of the whole event and are not really car guys? Or they just want to be the first to have something. Unless they are re-upping to get a Z06, I expect many will regret the sale.

From what I gather here on the forum, this is their first Corvette for the vast majority of C8 buyers.

This is my first corvette ever. I’m 49 years old and have wanted one since I was 3 years old. I don’t care how much profit I can make. I’m not selling it. I absolutely love it and I drive it every single day. My dream come true.

Agreed. After a bunch of different 911s I decided that the mid engine C8 was a winner. I've had a few NSX too but they lacked the V8 kick in the pants, sound and modern amenities. Had the NSX been a $100k car then it would be a no brainer to go with it for the reliability and engineering. But guess what? GM hit a home run and engineered an affordable supercar...that was Honda's goal that fell short.

The 21 HTC I have on order is my first ordered GM product ever.

I will second that. This was also my first vette. Absolutely LOVE IT!!! Would not consider selling at all. I can make money in other ventures. Do not see auto as an investment. This is simply my toy. Don't care if its worth 150K or 50K.

Already responded to another post here. My car is not for sale at any price. Well let's not be stupid. if some idiot wants to offer me 200K I would consider it. haha. But I did not buy the car as anything other than a personal toy for me. It is my first vette. possibly even my last. I love it. There is nothing that would entice me to not keep it. I appreciate many of the fine ME cars on the market. Lambo, Audi R8, Ferrari, but this hit my checkbook sweetspot. She is sleeping now but loved the long season. Looking forward to an early spring 2021!

Well this is my first corvette as well. Thought it was gonna be in 2020 but thats ok, I'm even more excited now, especially since i got to drive my brother in laws. Wicked car ! The response he is getting driving around in our area is unbelievable. The boyz are blown away!!!!!!!!!! My allocation was put in 2 weeks ago so hopefully won't be too much longer....

First Corvette. Last car I buy before I die. Merry Christmas...
Never say never JR.

Great car if you like the attention, i'm sure it will wear off as there are more seen in the wild. Probably not until a year from now, very interesting to see all the listings on Autotrader. Will that calm down once the 2021's start production and are shipped out to the dealers for their customers. Will be interesting to see if the over MSRP prices stay where they are currently. Fun to watch.

I definitely love my C8, it's an amazing car and only wish I had more seat time before I had to put it away for the year. It's hard to say why there's alot for sale right now, but I would expect it has alot to do with covid, economy etc; so if someone could get more than they paid for a luxury item it's probably a smart play.

Looking on Autotrader there's more than twenty two hundred 2020 Ford F150 for sale...
What's your point?
