Is actually this the Mid Engine Corvette?

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been posted already but it's the first I've seen of it...and everyone on FB is sending it to me. Not sure if it's real or a good photoshopped image.
Anyone have any info on this? Is it legit?

According the GM Inside News, it's a "test mule" and it will eventually be marketed through Cadillac.

As I found this out on the internet it certainly must be true.

There was talk of front AND mid engined Corvettess. Then there is talk of this mid engine version going to Cadillac. Perhaps Cadillac will get the mid engined Version to give them a boost in the performance image department after losing the XLR and Chevy would carry on with the conventional layout. The fore aft weight bias is about 50-50 already. At least the cars we have today can be somewhat practical as well having enough cargo space to take a decent amount of luggage on a longer trip. Check out an Audi R8 and there is virtually no luggage space. I guess we will just have to wait and see and play guessing games in the mean time.
