Hey to each their own, just saying that all this information or miss-information
makes you think about the technologies that are moving ahead faster at times
then we can comprehend. What is secure today in not so secure tomorrow and
nothing is unhackable. Just seems to be the era that we are now living in today.

I just mapped the location data from my phone. In the last week it's had me in the UK, China, Los Angeles, and Calgary. Maybe it will throw people off my tracks.
In any case, it's not the doomsday scenario that people are making it out to be. Most people don't even realise why the iPhone is keeping the info that far back.

PCWorld has just confirmed that Android phones are doing the same thing by tracking cell phone location etc and that it actually sends the information to Google daily.

The only reason for my other post was because it seems that people that don't like apple phones seem to glamorize absolutely everything when in fact other phones are (as seen in this case yet again) guilty of the same acts.
Like I said.. Buy what makes you happy! That's the most important part

That's where I pulled it from. All it's showing are cell tower locations and wifi basestation locations that you've gone by. Some mistakenly as far away as China. It's so full of errors and so innacurate that it could never be used for much. The people making a big deal about it are the ones that haven't actually seen the data that's stored.

And even better yet... There is an article in macworld that actually indicated that congress passed legislation in 2001 that mandated that cellphones track this information!
