You guys who are putting the car in storage and getting a refund.... Are you just calling your insurer and asking for an opcf 16 suspension?
I just tell them I’m not driving it again till the spring so just leave fire, theft and vandalism on it. Simple. They usually in my case just apply the “ refund “ to the renewal cost.

Call them and tell them a certain date and they send me a check and then I go to the restaurant and eat and drink beer till it is spent. :Hurray:

contact cooperators and see what they quote you. Cooperators doesnt go through brokerage and underwrites directly.
I pay $ 1300.00 with Co-operators and I have 3 vehicles and house insured by them. I contacted CAA (I'm a member) and was quoted $ 1800.00 , I live in a small town rural community with no crime

Better than a lot of places for sure. Not that bad at all .

I thought I had a good price, but I guess not. I'm paying $304 a month

Thats very high .... I pay 604 per year .....driving for 30 years since like 18 or 19 clean record ( thats important )

I'm with CAA Ontario ... all coverages etc etc ... 1000 deductible ... and just let it ride out the whole year ... at that rate no need to call for a winter storage refund

But CAA is only good for very experienced drivers .... with clean records ... tried to quote my daughter when I bought her a new Chevy Trax ... and they were stupid expensive ... ended up insuring her with TD Meloche ... they were cheaper

I went from $ 800 a yr. to $ 1300.00 with Co-operators. Was told the rate increase is across the board because of theft and high cost of repairs. Tried other places and they were all high. Clean driving record and a senior
