Insurance cost

I know this has been discussed before but would also love to see some perspective on this as I am sure I am being royally scr##ed by my insurance company. Home and auto (multi-vehicle) with the same company, $2MM lia, clean records with no accidents or tickets in 10 years, paying ~$1,600 in Alberta. It cost me $1,150 for winter storage!! 5 years ago I was paying $650 for my C7 for full coverage, now it costs me more to have my C8 parked in the garage in winter!!

$2400 annual premium and that's with multi product discounts (home and additional auto), located in Toronto. Clean driving record, no tickets/claims in over 10 years, mid-30's (closer end to 40, yikes). I posted earlier today but somehow my premium jumped $400 when I put the C8 back on road coverage as it was paused over the winter. Pretty sure I'm getting robed here... I'll take the $1,600 any day!

Insurance costs vary depending on location. Markham is one of the highest rate areas and Uxbridge is one of the lowest. The same company charges a lot more for Markham than it does for Uxbridge so prices for individuals here is useless unless they live in the same area as you do.
It also depends on your deductible etc.

For Edmonton, I paid $1,400 for my 2020 C8 with "all the bells and whistles" (replacement cost value and $5M limits). Even after I signed an agreement that it would remain parked, I had to pay full rate for parking it over the winter months, however I received a credit in the spring when I "unparked it". I was credited for everything except fire and theft. So hopefully Jdm127 you'll similarly recoup most of what you paid over the winter. If not, there's something seriously wrong with your coverage cost. But as others have said, costs vary due to your circumstances, with location being a key factor regardless of your driving record. There's no doubt that rates have gone up across the board: for both home and auto. Best to shop around and you'll save some bucks if you have multiple policies with the same insurer. Good luck!

I am not young anymore, so that is why I am asking this. Would not want to get a stroke , after waiting more than 26 months for my C8 and not get to drive it.:dead:

$1,220.00 for me in Ontario for my C8. When I store it they give me a cheque for the months it is stored which is around $400.00.So kinda works out to $100.00 a month for the Corvette I guess. I go with Wawanessa simply because they give me a steal on insurance for my Harley if I add the other car and house with them. So would be cheaper with another company if I didn't have the bike. Clean record and no claims either.

Until I get a VIN , she says she cannot be sure.
Make one up!
Use this and give her an example. Man I hate that when they do that.
What are you ordering? HTC? 1,2 or 3LT? Let me know and I'll give you a vin.

HTC 2lt with a few options. 97000$ with the price increase.

The check digit calculator has not been updated for 2023. The 10th digit is year. If you can use 2022 since they are still being made and would be a new car the following should work

I will try it

I pay $2800 for my C7, my Ford diesel, my Lincoln MKX, my Toyota Rav4, my Can-Am, and two utility trailers. Only $2mil liability but all the other bells and whistles with low deductibles. Only coverage I don't have is a temporary replacement vehicle. Seeing how I have a garage full, not really required.
