I just ordered an affordable set of extra keys from the states (keyless ride.com - C5 vats are about 15 each, and the fob was 15 or so). Take a ohm meter, measure the resistance, and you have your vats from 1-14. Easy. Provided it works, I still haven't got the key cut.
Anyway, got me thinking about all the other cars I have. Remote start in a chev 1/2T, and rav4 for my inlaws. We are all stuck with only one remote fob that actually works. Makes things difficult if we lose them.
Does anyone know if there are universal remote fobs that work on 99% of starters? Like a universal remote control for the TV. Quick google search first 2 pages didn't show any results.
