47, always wanted a Vette.....was looking for a C3, wife detested them. She liked the C4, and since it was mostly for US to enjoy together, went that route. NO REGRETS. My real passion is my Ducati, but since she won't ever get on the back (I converted it to a monoposto because of this) I find myself going out in the car more than the bike.

Isn't that funny; my wife dislikes C4's. She finds the seats and footwells too confining. And she's only 5'2" and quite petite.

They certainly are that Greg, I'm used to it now but it's definitely not their best feature.

I jumped the gun and got my divorce present before I even met my wife! I couldn't wait that long as I am getting old! :D

Bought my 2000 on a road trip to Vegas with some friends five years ago at the age of 31, a year before finishing my degree in Engineering (with Taylor). It's great being a student with a nicer car than most profs! :D

Was 46 seen 89 vette for sale went and looked, my girlfriend said thats a sporty looking car, she negotiated 1000 off the price I just stood and watched I was impressed and it did need tires, went back and bought it , then put my 69 camaro unfinished original up for sale, kinda hurt but no room in garage for two and I wasn't getting it done soon enough had the itch to drive something anything with a removable roof. Vette in garage ,69 out in cold starting to snow phone starts to ring off wall for 69 , two guys show up truck and cash 69 gone to T.O. don't know if the guy finished it yet have to find out sometime but might hurt to see it finished, not sure, anyways love the car will probably keep it.

Finally got mine at 39. After the kids got their own cars the mini van was just not cutting it for me. And after I had mine my neighbour liked it so much he went and bought one. Maybe we can take over the entire street !

I was 46 when I bought my 1990 TB Vert.
My friend wanted to borrow my Harley for the weekend so I traded him for the Vette.
My wife loved it, so she sold her Harley and bought my buddies 1990 Triple Black convertible for me.
Had that one for a few years, then sold it & bought my current 2002.
Next one will be a C7.:canada:

The other day I was talking to an older guy, my age, in Colorado Springs. He had always wanted a Corvette. The day before New Years last year, a local dealer advertised a new Corvette at $20K off list price. He was there when the doors opened and got his red car. There was a disappointed lineup when he left.

Well, after going for my first ride in a brand new 67 tripower I knew there would be a Corvette in my future. After I retired in 2010, the search was on and I found mine a year later. I've racked up close to 20,000 miles since I bought it and it's been a great ride with many new friends.

I wanted a Vette ever since I was a kid. I watched Route 66 on Tv. every week.
My dad's buddy worked at Gorries Chev in TO as a bodyman fixing them.He used to tell me stories of cars comming from Buffalo to get him to fix them.He started on Vettes because he was fed up working on rusty cars.
I had kids and a 1st wife to pay for, then when our best friend was told she had cancer ,I said its now or never.
I was 46.
7 Vettes later, I have what I want and have no desire to buy a C7.
