How old are c8 owners?

I'm not.
When I was born there were only B&W TV's and rotary phones.
However, the only reason for buying a Corvette was because it became mid engine.
I know exactly what you are talking about. Growing up in Kirkland Lake, we had 2 black and white tv stations, 1 English and 1 French. When you picked up the phone you hoped someone else wasn't on already, because unless you had a lot of money, you were on a party line which you shared with at least one other family. When you picked up the phone, and nobody else was on, you didn't have to dial a number, the Bell operator came on and said "number please". Now this is the way to show your age. :)

Remember it well. CBC English and their French counterpart up until 1961 when CTV came on the air. It was like a whole new entertainment experience. Until midnight each day that is when they both went off the air and all we got to watch was this... lol...

If you knew what you were doing you could align your TV to that signal. But be careful or you'll take a trip to the hardware store with a bag of vacuum tubes.

Can you old timers tell us your stories about the first time you experienced indoor flush toilets. Be as elaborate as possible...
A little before our time. Counter to the urban legend Thomas Crapper did not invent the flush toilet.
In 1596, a flush toilet was invented and built for Britain's Queen Elizabeth I by her Godson, Sir John Harrington. It is said that she refused to use it because it was too noisy. The first patent for the flushing toilet was issued to Alexander Cummings in 1775.

Did you just pull that explanation out of your ass? Was asking when you old timers first used one. I remember my Grandma telling me she was 15. We are were not born with a silver spoon in their mouth...

Your Grandma would be a generation removed from all of us.

Had an outhouse until I was about 7. Eatons catalogue for toilet paper. No running water. Water came from a well outside in the yard. Had a long pole that hooked the bucket and you lowered it until it filled and hand over hand brought it up and carried to the house where it sat on the counter beside the sink. Getting running water was a Godsend. Especially on bath day. Flush toilet came soon after that and the Eatons catalogue stayed in the outhouse and we started using raccoon fur to wipe with. Nice and soft. Especially the young ones... lol...

She had my mom when she was 15. My mom was 17....
You are very lucky to still have her . 93 is a heck of a good run . If only we were all that lucky. May bode well for you from a genetic standpoint. Although I don’t know how many could take another 30 years of your savage posts , lol . ;)
