Hey y'all.
Love my C8 HTC, mostly. 1)peeve is the excessive tire/road noise, and 3) is the heat in the trunk. I see on the interwebs folks lining the underside of the trunk tub with reflective stuff to bring the heat down. Just wondering if anyone here has actually done it, whether it was effective, and if so could he/she/it recommend a particular product/source.

I find the that Termo Tech Heat and Acoustic mat works the best. Don't buy those no name cheap thin reflective mats/sheets like I did the first time. They don't stick well.

Lined both sides of the cover. I did use a aluminum sheild for the engine side or keep it simple and do the Thermo Tech on both sides.
Also lined the back side of your carpet/liner cover.

My current C8, I did the TT on the engine side because of no clearance with the much larger Haltech intake/housing in the way.

The final mod is just to remove that weather stripping trim for the trunk and leave it off in your trunk incase you run into a monsoon. And be sure to put it back in when you wash the car. Lol..
That little gap allow the stagnant air in the trunk to be extract out when the car is in motion. Like cracking a small gap of your window to draw air out inside of your car.

Nice. Have you thought of carrying your ice cream in the frunk ? ;)

I covered the entire inside of the truck with boom mat in my 24 Eray. I also made sure that I covered the entire bottom of the truck, the mufflers are in either end under the truck. Please make sure you do not cover the vents that are in the corners of the back side of the trunck they are there to expel air when you close the trunk. I measured the temperature of the trunk before I installed the boom mat and after and it was cooler by 25 degrees. My next item I am going to install the Dynamic Ducts to push more air into the engine bay. Many have confirmed that they reduce temps in the engine compartment which effect the temp in the trunk. I will measure both before and after installation on the temp difference in the trunk. I know these air scoops are more for track use but they also reduce engine compartment temps in a daily driver which is also good for the engine itself.
