On a hot day (30+), mine will run just under 95. Hottest i have seen was just over 95. that was a full day of 36 degree driving. I wouldn't be concerned with 97. Especially if it's city driving. Most manufacturers say that 115 C is the limit you should be shutting down at to reduce chance of engine damage.
As with Rruuff Day above.... in Vancouver we had a stretch of 36 to 38C and mine hovered around 96.... I had no concerns.
