Late last night the Ontario Government announced that any automobile with an advertised horsepower rating above 350 will be taxed an additional surcharge for licence renewals of $1500.00 per year. Premier Wynne, Finance Minister Sousa along with Glenn Murray from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and Prime Minister Trudeau made the joint announcement at the "Climate Change and Going Forward" convention in downtown Toronto last night.

Will it ever end?

Whew!!!!!!!.....From what you guys have told me about Ontario rules and regulations, you had me going Murray... I had forgotten all about April 1 and my first thought was "Oh No" We have an NDP government killing the province here who would just love to follow suit and implement this tax... I am so glad it was a joke... Now I can only hope Rachael isn't a forum member and reads this...lol...

I agree with the rest. I KNEW what day it was and my first thought was hahaha April fools.. and a few seconds later my second thought was with Wynne/Trudope ummmmmmm...hmmmmmmmm..... this could be true!!
I suspect if they thought they could get away with it ...they would do exactly this.
