Curious if I have to remove the fender

Hi, no...you have to undo the inner fender liner and the bolts at the bottom of the fender. It can be flexed out of the way.
the only issue is, if you’re using a lift or quick jack, that covers the small bolts at the bottom of the fender, so you need to support the car at the crossmember.
shouldn’t be a problem...I swapped my oil tank for a larger one this way
