I,m Norbert, 57 years old.I,m German and live since 10 years in beautiful Canada.
I bought today my first Corvette.Seller wrote that it is a 1977, but from the rear glass, it must be a 1978.I,ll pick up the car in 3 weeks. Will check then the Vin.
So, hope i will get some good tipps here for the future.
To all a good day,
Norbert

Hi Norbert.

You came to the right place. You will find many very knowledgeable C3 owners and Corvette historians here who like to share experiences and offer sound advice.

Of course I am duty bound to mention and plead for pictures of your 77 or 78 Stingray... or is it Sting Ray? Expect the answer quickly.

Congratulations and welcome aboard Mate.

Derek.

Welcome to the forum.

Best of luck with your new Corvette.

Derek.

Actually it is neither! They removed the Stingray name and badges for 1977. (Sting Ray is for the 63-67 years)

Welcome to the forum. The '78 should be tones of fun....but we're gonna need pictures!

Welcome aboard!

My dad had a house at Blind Bay for more than 10 years, so I have had a lot of fun on many of those roads out there, and a ton of fun on the trails with the quads. I really wish he hadn't sold it a couple of years ago. It was a LOT more fun than his new place in Vernon.

Not realy. I asked the seller to send me the Vin. He wrote : 2bg70612554202246. .
But that can,t be, right?
But he insist.. I go next sunday again to the car.
