Hi anyone know of issue with the C8 transmission.

Hi anyone know of any issues with the C8 transmission.
There's been a number in the US. Only one I know of in our membership Here's the link to @Ty. post.

So would you be willing to share the reason they have behind your new replacement?
So far you answered your own question but without detailing why.
Leads us to have to otherwise speculate. Asking if for the same reason
as the other 1 we know of in :canada: that is posted here on CCF.

Agreed, loss of use will suck however perhaps it can be seen as a yin/yang when getting a new transmission.

Your firsthand specifics would/could be helpful for those with a C8
to watch for and also for those of us waiting to get one of our own (used or new)
because it may likely tip the scale when thinking of waiving the added cost of X-warranty.

Thx

I assume a 2021 since 2 weeks old,
-Mileage xxxx
-Z51 or non
-Did you add the 2 quarts of DCT fluid?
-Have you parked on a steep incline? ( reports of air locks )
-Did they try flushing the system and replacing solenoid
-Dirty shafts are a reported problem from Tremec
-What dealer is doing the work and did they buy the DCT cradle and special tools from GM (required) Many dealers didn't buy all the new C8 tools

Hi guys engine light came on and had onstar do a check and found a few code (DCT). A GM bulletin is out related to these code and procedures to fix them.
What were the codes?
Was P0700 one of them?
There is an update for that one.

That is an erroneous code fixed by update. Don't know about the others
