Hepburn Centennial Days Show n Shine June 15

Only event on the calendar is in Ajax.
Wish everyone would put the events in the events calendar as well.
Heck, I put the 2020 Kingston Corvette Invasion in there as well as the Bayfest Corvette get together in June.
We need to populate that calendar well ahead of time. Putting it in the calendar doesn't preclude putting a reminder up here as a last minute call to arms. JMHO

well weather sounds like rain, but I think I'm going anyway , wanted to take the 49 diesel but I don't want to splash it up, so I'll take the 58 Impala hardtop . It has been blessed many times in the last 45 years so if it gets wet or a few more stone chips then no problem. I got it booked in the parade too, then the show & shine right after . Even got some heavy moving blankets to cover it in case it starts to hail. We'll see how the weather is in the morning before I fire up the 348 tripower.

Well the rain was light for awhile but didn't ruin the day. The 348 rumbled the 35 mile ( not km ! ) trip to Hepburn this morning . About 40 entries in the parade , and then a show & shine on main street . The town has a 3 day centennial celebration going on and this was day 2 . Yes I got to meet mr & mrs Hemicat for the first time , we had a good chat . A few pics of the day , it's hard to take pics of a parade when you are in the parade and I missed the floats . Seen some unusual stuff or rarely seen auto's like the half car, straight 8 Pontiac, wild streetrod dodge and when a trunk was a trunk .

Great pictures Michael. Thanks for sharing. Your cars always look great. Love the tires and blower on the 30. Thinking that chute may not be just for show either.

Thanks Rruff . I was kinda helping when the coupe was backing up, that thing is wicked. The chute is real. He just put the blower on as it didn't have it before, the car is licenced and he drove it from neighboring town. The back tires are extremely huge. When he put it in gear the tires rotate abit and the car jumps, it is wild , sounds wild . I bet it would drive on water almost as those tires would float.

Ya, he just put the the blower on last year. Apparently this was the farthest it has driven so far (kind of a maiden voyage). The welding on the home made headers is kind of crude but they work. It was not as loud as the last time that I seen it in a hamlet called Neuhorst. I think he said it had Harley mufflers on it. As he was coming in I could not help but notice the idle had a distinctive blower surge.
