I just drove 2 hours in my "brand new" 2016 Z51 Stingray. It only has 8100 miles on it. When plugging my iPhone 17 into it, it would connect via CarPlay for a minute or so and then it would disconnect and then reconnect and repeat over and over.

So I disconnected my phone and used the radio the rest of the way. The console worked fine. I tried a couple different USB cords and got the same results. So I'm assuming its the usb ports in the center console that is the culprit.

If I'm going to replace the part, is there a version of it that has USB C instead of USB A? I'd rather go with a more modern compatible connection if I can.

Plug your cord into the USB port in the slide compartment on the dash and see if that works. You can also connect via bluetooth.
