It is customary to introduce ones self on new forums, so here I am. From the flatlands of SK I am Corvetteless so I have no great pictures to share or stories to tell. I have joined here because I am considering getting myself into a Corvette after having driven several great cars on our last trip to Las Vegas. Drove a Lamborghini Gallardo 550, Ferrari 458 Italia and Nissan GTR. I wanted to drive the C7 Corvette but it was in the shop for repairs at the time (previous customer burned the clutch out I think).

I am a long time gear head, started with cutting and modifying bicycles when I was 9, dirtbikes at 11, brief stint with cars, then off road, and the past 8 years with motorcycles. My riding group has diminished and riding isn't as fun as it used to be (too many rules in Saskatoon now), and after driving some fast cars I can't get the bug out of my system so I'm joining here to learn more about America's Supercar!

Cheers,
Dustin

Welcome to the forum.

There are a couple of stunning Corvette's for sale on the forum at the moment. Maybe have a look.

Nylon by the way is really abrasive on paint. Just saying.

I am leaning towards the newer generations, C5 or C6 to be more accurate. So I would say I'm thinking Go and some Show. Don't see too many Corvettes around our roads, maybe there's a reason for that (potholes)... I would be willing to go up to the low 30's... unsure on hardtop vs targa top vs coupe. I have heard that convertibles don't have the same handling that the coupes offer, is that true with the Vette?

So much to learn...

Hey Dustin:

Let the 306 crew know when you are successful in acquiring a Vette. I live in Nipawin, but frequent Stoon in my 2013 Z06 (60th Anniversary edition). We could meet for brews and wings somewhere on 8th....or head out on a cruise for the same purpose.

Hey grundy, thanks for letting me know. I'm unsure if I want a convertible, but if I change my mind I will give you a shout! And Fitzy I will for sure let you know. I have a friend looking to buy my Street Glide so I'm waiting on him before I get much more serious about this. I learned long ago that it is better to sell one thing BEFORE you buy the next, otherwise you get antsy and lose money trying to sell your old stuff!
