Met Brent on the LL Mountain Cruise last year...... met up with him at a get together we had in the west end last year.

I knew of of his health issues (he told me in feb he had some treatment planned for Aug 2018, well that never happened as things progressed faster then he expected ) and Ziggy msg me of his passing while on I was on holidays .

So sad... super nice easy going guy.... passed way too soon.

I am back from my holidays and will be attending his funeral.

RIP Brent

Brian

Following the Church Service and luncheon,
Brent's interment included a final ride in his car.
Driven by a good friend of his who first introduced
him to Corvettes. Debbie in the Navigator Seat.
Unplanned and Spontaneously Appropriate,
was a 7 Corvette Cruise.
As Paul mentions on Facebook ...
"was a fitting sendoff for our friend …
Debbie and family appreciated Brent’s Last Cruise
to his final resting place"

… a photo he has had on Facebook of the other pastime ...
that he enjoyed "Driving" aside from Piloting his Corvette

perhaps the underlying meaning of this is "Yield for Golfing"

when we were going to the church and rounded the corner to pass by the church on our left there was a nice lady standing by the sidewalk waving to us as we went by in tears, what a nice show of emotion to us, that broke me up and I do not do well at these events,
it is hard to lose a loved one and I admire those who can,

Brent just smiled to me as I told him once at the indoor carting place, next time you will lose

we spoke about cancer at the Edmonton blue garage about 15 months ago when it had just come back and he thought it would be a tough go, it was,
cancer is terrible and some of us deal with it daily,
next go around god if there is one has to get it right

anyway I was really touched by the emotion as the young lady stood and waved to us to say thanks as we drove by into the parking lot to do our famous, wait in line to park dance,
nice touch to show the way to the last stop for Brent, thanks to all

My Uncle told me in 2002 that he was told by the doctor he had 6-12 months left to live with the C he was dealing with.... he is still alive today and 83.

It sucks... lost both my parents to that word... just have to think positive as best as you can. Doctors can be wrong in their thinking... my Uncle is still real mad that he was told that.

Cindy and myself met Brent and Debbie on last years Lake Louise trip. We had a great visit in the lounge with them that evening and I knew we would become good friends from that point on. We had the pleasure of several other cruises with them including Drumheller, Camrose and a couple other small private ones. Also, we had a fantastic time at my birthday party and a barbecue dinner at our house. We had many excellent chats since and I would describe Brent as a very kind, honest and passive soul, with a great passion for Corvette's. Life is so unfair at times and takes such good people way too early that God must have other plans for sadly. May you rest in peace Brent and you will be greatly missed. Deepest condolences to Debbie and family from Ziggy and Cindy.
Gosh, he looks so young to have met his maker so soon and sounds like he was an awesome person.

... thinking of my buddy Brent this week
and this coming Friday :Angelsad2: ... Nov 30th
and learning of being born in the same
year as the Corvette ... 1953 ...
