Headers And Cats vs Exhaust.

It would be an alternative over just a high end exhaust for the same $?
I am talking about the lease expensive of the combos; Hookers headers and cats.
One may actually add a few more hp? And it would make it sounds more aggressive with the stock exhaust that you want to achieve with the aftermarket system?

OK,I have replaced my entire exhaust system…headers to tips. I added American Headers who claim 25= hp increase. I kept the OEM Cats since they were so high flowing from the factory, added entire Magna Flow exhaust, which may add 10HP. Added in intake relief with a Soler throttle body and Blue Attack air filter combo. Did all of this make a difference? You bet! Seat of the pants, you bet… my Z51 is quicker and more responsive. The headers add quite a bit of low end growl to the exhaust. If I changed out the cats, it would be far too noisy for my liking. As it is, I leave the garage door closed when doing a cold start for my neighbour’s peace of mind. Does the car feel better, go better and finally sound like an “exotic,” YOU BET!
