Normally people or service departments don't run Train on me and what good is questioning this when you are on the other side of North America . I'm from Halifax and not San Jose where their GM Dealership declares a " Service Commitment is to Excellence at every turn and every straightaway." I won't bore you with the rest but it's a one page declaration of integrity. I'm well aware that Dealers have also been called Stealers. They were unsuccessful in running Train on me with a new set of rear Michelins . A phone call to " America's Tire " which I can highly recommend saved me a lot of $$.

Anyway I was no position to be checking this and checking that at a Dealership in San Jose far away from home and we are about to leave the Pacific Coast , cross the Rockies , drive through over 20 States , enter Canada at NB and then take the Ferry from Saint John to NS and home . My primary motive was to leave San Francisco and get us and the car home safely

Moral of the story is if we had that pre paid maintenance agreement what do we care what they charge. It's not my problem. It's GM's problem and I don't have to be an automotive forensic specialist when reading the bill or GM's maintenance agreement. It's hard to be right in a fight with an approved GM service department / Dealership when your main source of worry is having the job done right and getting home safely. I guess that's one thing I can attest to is the job was done right and I'm sure they have seen a lot more Corvettes in their service department than 99% of the Corvette Dealers in Canada.
 
Tyres are not part of a GM maintenance agreement. Where do you suggest I call in San Jose when you are already standing in the largest Corvette Dealership in San Jose ? Also if I remember correctly getting into a Corvette Dealership for service was generally a one to two week wait. I got the tyres the very same day.
 
I’m not sure why people here believe by me posting that bill that I was complaining about my bill ? I merely showed people here what a 72,000 km or 3 years ( whatever comes first ) maintenance bill can look like. It’s on page 294 and page 295 of the 2022 Corvette Owners manual. Some people here believe that I was railroaded ? Could be ? That’s why my last post was 100% pure sarcasm. I can’t help myself when it comes to sarcasm. :) The oil change certainly looks right. I paid less there than I do here which is $330 CDN after taxes. I did get a much better deal on tyres by going to America’s Tire ( excellent service and price) but then again I fully expected that because I’ve never been successful purchasing tyres from a car Dealership .

Anyway I’ll stop here , move on from the subject and again thank LeDon and Mr.Corvette for their help . Greatly appreciated !
 
Hi all, new user here looking to buy a lightly used C8 Corvette. Does anyone know if it's possible to still be able to get the 7 year extended warranty on a used or is 5 year the max?

Unless something has changed, the 7 year extended warranty, if purchased begins when the car is sold new. & years sounds good but since a new car already comes with a 3 year bumper to bumper and a 5 year powertrain, the 7 year is really only giving you a 4 year/2 year extension. You can buy the warranty at the 3 year mark but it's still called a 7 year. Someone will likely correct me if that has changed.

That's correct. JLP what year is the slightly used Corvette you are looking at buying?

Trying to count how many fish we caught and released is tough but between the two of us we caught close to 300 in 6 days of fishing. So no. Not disgruntled. And thanks, but I'd still rather be still fishing... ;)
