That is one of the problems I see. They are not saying look at the bad ass Corvette but rather a Mclaren or Ferrari. Doesn't stand out for what it is - a Corvette.
Maybe that will change with time (and sales)

Being called something else is natural right now. No one has seen the C8 undisguised. After July 18 it will be instantly recognized and hopefully Tadge had the sense to make it stand out from the “other” supecars.

Good analysis RockyPM! It will be 100% recognizable as a Corvette 70 days from now. (Ed Welborn, Kirk Bennion, Hwasup Lee and others have insured that.)
