Obviously not a top priority of Corvette owners but I have been doing a lot of highway mileage recently and I am getting 7.4 - 8.2 litres/100Km in economy mode. Much better than the 9.8 l/100 cited by Natural Resources Canada. I am wondering why the NRC rating is so much higher?

Not sure why the government rating is so high…but when I had my 2016 C7 it was a miser on fuel too. Hwy mileage was always in the 7 range when on cruise control @ 120k. I had a 2016 Ford Fusion at the same time with a turbo 2 litre engine and it was never that good! I put it down to the AFM system cutting the displacement in half and the fact that the Corvette was so aerodynamically slippery compared to the Ford sedan?

I am soon on a 4500km trek to the Maritimes and will most likely be monitoring this feature when cruising and when in “race-mode”.
:ohoh:
The range readout does help for planning preferred high octane and/or fuel-brand stops.
