even though i'm "engined up" in the LS-6 dept, might want to mention if it's an '01 385 hp version or the 02-04 405 hp version...

If I were in ontario and hadn't already spent this year's mods budget I would have already picked it up. Think of it this way. It's the easiest way anyone with an LS-1 (stock) car will add at least 60 horse AND improve their ride. Actually it might be cheaper than an LS-1 cam swap!!

I agree, if I had a bone stock LS1 would swap out in an instant.
You could still sell of the old LS1 engine for a few bucks also.

Yah, but then it would be a good time to put in headers, and a cam since the engine is out and it's easy to do, plus a clutch.

How much power does an LS6 make with a cam/heads/headers/cai? 500 at the crank?
c6 z06 power for say 4-5k? CHEAP

Depending on the heads, cam and compression you could get over 525 at the crank.
I put down just over 500 at the crank on a LS1 with mods in my sig and the LS6 has 50hp on me!
