For All the Dog Lovers out there

He was a wonderful animal Riley -- I can tell you miss him terribly -- Time for another don't you think?

C.

As soon as we can get our own place and aren't renting anymore, the next day I'll be on the hunt for a pup.

That video with Jumpy is hilarious!

Yes, I have one dog of the many we've had on the farm that I still miss dearly to this day.

Of course the "God made a farmer" struck a greater chord with me as I'm sure you'll all understand by comparison!

Super weather, lots of running in, some hard pulls in 3rd and 4th gear - resulted in the "Service Traction Control" symbol coming on and staying on! Oops! Maybe the new engine is overwhelming the TC/SC system???? I'll try to reset it and see if it goes away tomorrow.

Cheers,

Garry

Garry that TC/SC warning light will come on if one or more tire pressures are off either high or low.....Make sure your tire pressures are where they should be first before going any further.

Glad you enjoyed the vids -- they do strike a chord don't they.

Good evening Colin,

Thanks for the suggestion! With the Dashtronix system I can't access any of the other old display settings, switch from metric to imperial or see the fuel efficency, range, oil and water temps and of course tire pressures. Did your Dashtronix system ever get up and running?? I miss being able to see all of that stuff and as well the AFR is still fixed at 7.4 and does not change either. Sort of annoying.

Yep, it was a happy time when Lucy-puppy was with us and it was probably the only time that mom, dad and I had a group cry, that never happened with any of the other dogs when they died. I miss her a lot, she was a great companion for sure. We buried her SE of the yard with her dish...........

Cheers,

Garry

Hi Garry -- The dashtronix does do some strange things to the displays. Not necessarily in error. What I suggest you do is read up on the system from their website which explains a lot of what happens using their system and what to do if there's an issue and what to expect while in use.

Mine is an automatic which right away differs from yours......I do know that pushing the inside light dimmer on the left side near your knee a couple times will reset the system similar to rebooting a 'puter, but read up on their websight what to do exactly.
That may even reset your AFR.

I do know that the Dashtronix runs thru the OBD2 port under the left side of the dash. You could try unplugging it to see the other functions you want.
I believe that's another way to reset the system.

Yes mine now is working perfectly and I like it a lot. Mine tho is again on an automatic which I can change modes on from Drive to S (manual mode) -- Doing this affects what I can see on the DIC -- their websight explains all this for you.:

DashTronix?

Yes the tears. Many have been shed over losing such precious members of our family. They are happy tears tho with fond, fond memories......for me this usually prompts a search for another 'pal'.

Cheers

when my josie's time comes i won't get another dog, i find the loss too heartbreaking. i was eleven years between losing fred and getting josie. every dog i've had has been wonderful but josie is my favourite. it seems strange but i deal with human loss much more easily than i can with the loss of a pet.

I bet you can't wait for the house and a pup .....

You house/pooch hunting this year or next?

C.

MMmmmmmmm...hopefully next fall but it may spill over to the fall after that. My guess is I'll have to go without garage and dog for another two years.

My dad doesn't want a dog or any pet because of the loss at the end. Myself, I wouldn't trade one sad month for 11 years (with Lillie) or 3 years of awesomeness with Monster.

Not strange to me Doug -- I feel the same way myself.....but for me the only cure for the hearbreak was another dog...... I may feel differently sometime down the road but I really can't imagine not having a pooch to talk to, tend to, to play with and love.....

My Dad and Mom said what you've said about losing animals but they ended up with a few more........:D

Let's hope you've got many more years with Josie to not even consider the alternative.

Here is my little buddy. Bella. She loves to cruise in the Vette

My last dog was a Border Collie. Good old Pepper lasted 17 years. She was a Great pet. Still miss her.
I always said I would never get another pet. That was until three years ago when we got Bella.
This little Diva brings us a ton of enjoyment. What a funny personality she has. Always makes us smile.

There is a saying, "The more people I meet, the more I like my dog." There is nothing like a well mannered, read trained, dog. All the dogs we had, went to obedience school for some basic training. It makes the world of difference. Right now, we have one neighbours dog that barks most of the day, then another neighbour's dog up the road takes over for the evening shift. I don't know how they stand it. I don't know how their next door neighbours stand it. A shock collar works immediately. I'd buy one for them if they would use it.
I think the evening shift just started. :swear:
