Finally made it out

Nope. No insurance on it yet. Wanted to get it running before I paid the government. Might not even be able to swing by tonight but we'll see.

took mine yesterday. let my 16 year old son have first drive with new license as i promised. then my turn. only second year withthe car so still in honeymoon phase but...was like falling in love all over again.
 
Riley might not make it either. It takes hours to get across the city at the speed he drives.

That is why I leave at 3:00 to make the 6:00 meeting.


As for the slop in the starter mounting holes? Manufacturing tolerances. Not sure if all flex plates are exactly the same. Normally they should come with shims so nothing can move...
 
There were no shims. But it didn't need them anyway. We'll have to talk about how the shim would lock it in place, you must know something I don't. I figure the slop is mfg. tolerance as well. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar situation where the slop was enough to enguage or not.
