Wow, what a nice winters day. My son is a cabinet maker, he is working on a project that the customer bought the pine lumber for cabinets. He said most of it was junk. We had a huge barrel fire burning the stuff that could not be used. A bottle of wine or two sitting outside for the afternoon watching the fire. Just a great winters day with the family.

I went for a mile and a quarter walk this afternoon to loosen up the old legs. Decent weather and no wind. A lot of rain is supposed to be coming in tomorrow night and that should pretty well wipe out the snow that we have just as it did a few weeks ago. I checked out the sump pump just to see that it was in order and plugged in. I found out the the new back up sump pump that had only been used once wasn't working. Submersible pumps are only as good as the seals in them. My old tall pump has been there since 1975 and still does the job.
