First and only bike was a 84 Suzuki GR650. Small enough for around town and big enough for highway travel. Had that bike for over 20 years. Sold it when I lost the itch to ride.
Well, I suppose that's better than getting an itch from riding.......... ;)

Buddy (63y/o) is getting the itch to be riding.
Me: You need a license for that.
Him: really?
So, he flunked the beginner written test 3 or four times, then finally passed.
Motorcycle course for him coming soon.
Got him all fixed up with riding gear yesterday.
Hoping he does well at the course.

Hang on !

8.9 is juicy!
That bike isn't "stock" though........there's at least an after market exhaust, and if I was betting, there's a quick shifter on it. Not very likely it's running on the factory tune either.
I've got a ¼ run on my gen 2 Busa somewhere on you tube.
It was 10.75, completely stock bike from the factory, the day I bought it.
Will post later.

And that's for sure not his first rodeo..... 10.75 is hauling a$$

You can tell I was hesitant at the tree.......or shall I say scared?....lol. I'd just bought the bike a few hours before this......it was my 2nd Busa, an '09. (Had a gen 1 before).

Jesus. Too quick for my nerve . I had a KZ 1000 many years ago but quick as it was it was nothing like that beast . Very impressive indeed.....

Awesome!
My first brand new bike - 1978KZ 750. ($1699)
A week after buying it, I traded it in for a KZ1000. They charged me $100 for the upgrade. Where have those days gone?
Tomorrow, I'm probably buying another Kawi. 10X the cost (SX1100SE).

I'm now envious, lol. And ya the KZ 1000 was a great bike . Wouldn't mind having another to be honest. Had a 650 BSA before that but that's a much different experience. They are now a bit of a collectors item from what I gather. This one is on the high side of the price range....
